Project Write Inc. is thrilled to announce the debut of BLOOM, an anthology of stellar writing by the students of Shenandoah Valley Writing Project Teacher Consultants. The anthology will be published in the fall of 2016.
Submissions are now being accepted for the 2016 edition through July 15, 2016. (NOTE: student work does not need to be new work. It should be the work of a student of a teacher consultant during the 2015-2016 academic year or during the 2016 Student Summer Workshop, but should be in FINAL DRAFT FORM with minimal editing required.) Each SVWP Teacher Consultant may submit up to 15 works total, with only one submission in each category allowed per student. Each submission may be no longer than 2,000 words, though we will accept excerpts from longer works.
Categories Include:
Fiction
Non-Fiction
Poetry

CALL FOR READERS! If you would be interested in being a reader-reviewer (and you are an SVWP Teacher Consultant), send an email to mailto:projectwriteinc@gmail.com?subject=TC Reader for BLOOM. Depending on the response, we may need as many as 20 readers, and you will be able to log into our system when you are able to during the reading period. Reviewers are recognized in the anthology itself and will also receive a free copy of BLOOM as a gift.
Please note: We will only consider works written by current students of SVWP Teacher Consultants in grades 3-12. An SVWP Teacher Consultant (TC) is an educator who has completed formal training during the Shenandoah Valley Writing Project’s Intensive Summer Institute. The TC designation is earned only after their completion of the Institute’s requirements.
