This Workshop opportunity is open to students in grades 10-12 who are starting their college application process or working on polishing personal essays for scholarship applications.

Mary Tedrow, Director, Shenandoah Valley Writing Project at Shenandoah University, and author of Write, Learn, Think, will lead students in developing a strong essay draft in person in Fauquier on Feb. 26 and Loudoun on April 2. Click for more information!

Workshop Description:
  • An overview of the expectations and requirements for the college essay.
  • Sample successful essays and tips from admissions officers.
  • Workshop time to develop ideas and to workshop potential revisions.
  • Plenty of time to initiate an essay reflective of who you are before early admissions deadlines.

The early registration discount for the workshop is $55 by the week prior. Late registration through the day of the event is $65.
